Archetype AI, led by Ivan Poupyrev, has raised $13m in Seed funding. The round was led by Venrock, with participation from Amazon Industrial Innovation Fund, Hitachi Ventures, Buckley Ventures, Plug and Play Ventures and several angel investors. Archetype AI has emerged from stealth with the launch of Newton™, the first foundation AI model that can understand the physical world. Newton fuses multimodal temporal data, including signals from accelerometers, gyroscopes, radars, cameras, microphones, thermometers and other environmental sensors, with natural language to unlock insights about the physical world in real time. Cyera, led by Yotam Segev, has secured a $300 million Series C funding round at a valuation of $1.4 billion. The funding was led by Coatue, with participation from Spark Capital, Sequoia, Accel, Redpoint, Cyberstarts, and other investors. As a pioneer in Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), Cyera instantly provides companies visibility over all of their sensitive data, context over the risk it represents & their security exposure, and automated remediation to reduce the attack surface and ensure operational resilience. Symbolica AI, led by George Morgan, has raised $33 million in funding. The round was led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from Abstract Ventures, Buckley Ventures, Day One Ventures and General Catalyst. Symbolica is developing new state-of-the-art foundation AI models for structured reasoning. They are building deep learning models which manipulate structured data, learn algebraic structure in it, and do so with an interpretable and verifiable logic. Collaborative Robotics, led by Brad Porter, has raised a $100 million Series B funding round. The round was led by General Catalyst, with participation from Bison Ventures, Industry Ventures and Lux Capital. Collaborative Robotics is trying to make robots that look and move like humans. Their mission is to build a new robotic future where robots are a trusted extension of your surroundings. They work, adapt, and react around you. Not the other way around. Pete Learning, led by Jacques Fu, has raised a $2 million Seed funding round. The round was led by Cofounders Capital with participation from angel investors in the Orlando area. Mode, led by Gaku Ueda, has raised a $8.75 million Series B funding round. The round was led by SBI Investment, with participation from True Ventures, JR East Startup Co. and Daiichi Jitsugyo Co. Oden Technologies is a provider of AI-driven solutions for manufacturers, transforming complex data points into action for the front-line every day. Tabs, led by Ali Hussain, has raised a $7 million Seed funding round. The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. Captura, led by Steve Oldham, has raised a $45.3 million Series A funding round. New backers included National Grid Partners and Japan Airlines Innovation Fund/Translink Capital. Captura combines innovative technology with the natural carbon removal powers of the ocean to remove CO2 from the atmosphere at large scale and low-cost, providing a critical capability in the fight against climate change. CleanFiber, led by Jonathan Strimling, has raised a $28 million Series B funding round that also includes a $31.5 million project financing facility. The round was led by Spring Lane, with participation from Ahlström Invest, AXA Investment Managers, Climate Innovation Capital and Tokyu Construction/Global Brain. CleanFiber makes high-performance cellulose insulation from recycled corrugated cardboard boxes and other clean sources of high quality fiber. Their product provides lower dust, lower contamination, and better coverage than competitive product thanks to their unique and patented process for embedding fire retardants in their products. Abre, led by James Stoffer, has raised a $24 million Series A funding round. The round was led by PeakSpan Capital, with participation from JumpStart Ventures, JobsOhio Growth Capital Fund, and Golden Angels Investors. Abre is K12’s #1 modern data solution that remove silos and ensure all stakeholders know how to turn analysis into action with impactful decision-making to support the whole child while helping schools centralize, visualize, and synthesize data to drive better outcomes for students in and out of the classroom.
